Cool Concept Cars At The Auto Show, Part II
Another Canadian Auto Show has come to a close, and in our final blog entry on this year's show, more concept cars! The above was a prototype Genesis from Hyundai. This is probably closer to reality than most concept cars.
BMW brought the far-out i8 to the show this year.
Lexus showed off the stunning LF-LC concept car. Could it be possibly nicer than the LFA? DV Dude has to sell a lot more lens caps to buy this one!
Possibly the most outrageous/impractical concept car came from Toyota, which had the FLN-Vii on display. Not really sure what this is, and looks a tad dangerous to drive...
And the side door is "interactive", which means you can change the look. It is like an Etch-A-Sketch on acid. Notice there doesn't seem to be any door handles or side mirrors.
This Toyota is a true concept car - totally impractical, totally innovative, and totally insane. And you will never see one on the road, ever.

Cool Concept Cars at The Auto Show, Part I
The Canadian Auto Show always has cool concept cars on display, and this year is no exception. The above photo is of a Honda Sport SUV concept that looks like it is very close to production. It looked quite nice.
Acura was back with the NSX concept car, this time with a finished interior. It is inching closer to production.
You know you want one.
Mercedes showed off this SmartCar SUV concept - the Forstar. Not sure how close this is to reality, but it was wild looking.

Coolest Headlights at Auto Show
Headlight design has come a long way since the original automobile. In the 1970s, rectangular headlights were so cutting-edge, and lately the LED accent stripe has become very popular. This year at the Canadian Auto Show, there were some very cool up-coming headlights. The one above is from the Acura RLX, coming this spring.
This Lexus shows a flourish of Art Deco.
And Hyundai gives us a sneak peek of what they're thinking in this Genesis concept car.

Coolest Car At The Auto Show
Your friendly digital video blogger decided to head down the Canadian Auto Show this week to take some pictures with the Sony NEX-6 and 10-18 lens and also just to see what's new in the wonderful world of automobiles. In the Cruise Nationals section (a particular favourite of the Dude, year after year), he came across this beauty.
This is a replica of a very rare car - a 1932 Bucciali, aka "The Bootch." Kudos to Oddball Kustoms of Uxbridge, who spent thousands of hours painstakingly re-creating this very cool car.

Big Sur Meets The BMCC

And we agree with his statement that everyone should visit Big Sur. One of the most beautiful places this Dude has ever been in. And this video demonstrates this in spades.
