NAB 2016: 8K Edition

While everyone is starting to get comfortable with 4K, NAB is always showcasing the future, and this year is no exception. There is always a lot of eye candy at NAB, but this 8K Video Wall from Leyard caught my eye.

We expected Canon to announce an 8K camera at NAB, but instead Canon showed an 8K prototype camera. This beast has 4 Odyssey Recorders on the back. Perhaps Canon will make an announcement later this year?

And finally, those forward thinking folks at NHK just had to continue to show off. For at least the past 3 years they have been showing 8K cameras, screens, etc. And this year, just to prove they are ahead of the curve, they were demonstrating 8K HDR footage.
