Sony A7S and Ninja Flame Go To 78,000 Feet


Most people do conventional things with their D-SLRs, but these crazy folks in Fairbanks, Alaska decided to attach their Sony a7s and a Ninja Flame to a weather balloon, and send it up 78,000 feet and shoot the Aurora Borealis!

Now that's filmmaking! Way to go Night Crew Labs!

And yes, everything survived.

Sony a7s Insane Low Light With Philip Bloom


The Sony a7s is our top-selling D-SLR right now, and with its insane low-light qualities, it's not hard to see why.

Here is a short video shot by Philip Bloom in Australia on the night of the SuperMoon. It was shot at 1 a.m., and yes that's moonlight, not sunlight, and that's the moon he's looking up to at the end, not the sun.

Amazing.
